2021 Industry Leaders Breakfast
Over the last four years, our annual Breakfast has provided fresh insights and experiences from women in our industry every single year.
2020 in particular was a poignant reminder of how important connections are and that no matter what level of business you were at, there were significant difficulties for all on many fronts. Feedback told us that the stories, experiences and emotions our panellists shared were familiar and their generally positive perspectives were infectious.
Please join us for another delicious breakfast served with plenty of inspiration, a few laughs and a generous dollop of honesty. Our MC, Fiona Breen, ABC journalist will be in conversation with Jude Franks (Franks Consulting), Ruby Daly (Hellfire Bluff Distillery) and Archana Brammall (Sweetbrew Café). Virtual Cuppa | Inclusive tourism
Think your tourism operation can’t be more inclusive?
Tune in to our July Virtual Cuppa because our panel says it can!
Join us and our Disability Voices Tasmania panelists, Tamar Cordover, Ana Pike and Fiona Strahan for an insightful discussion.
What it’s about. The start of a conversation and learning more about inclusive tourism and the small, easy changes you can start with to make a difference. Asking awkward questions and getting straightforward answers without embarrassment.
What it’s NOT about. Compliance or just wheelchairs - our panelists aren’t regulators, they’re women with lived experience.
Simple changes can have big impacts on your customers, on your business, and your own sense of connection as you see the changes you make bring relief, ease of access and even joy to others.
Inclusive tourism is a priority in the T21 Visitor Economy Action Plan. Logical really when it’s a substantial, largely untapped market and people with disabilities travel at the same rate as everyone else. And, they often bring a support crew too!
Disability Voices Tasmania (DVT) has been working to develop a greater understanding of how operators and their businesses can become more inclusive and provide some tools to help them do that.
Join us and our DVT Panel, led Tamar Cordover with Ana Pike and Christine Wright, for an insightful discussion.
Got awkward questions? Yes, there can be some uncomfortable questions around this topic but straightforward answers are available. Simply add them to your booking email and we’ll include them in the discussion.
Date: Thursday 29 July
REGISTER NOW: email email@example.com and include any questions or topics you'd like to discuss/learn more about.
Participants capped at 15 (or so) to allow for plenty of two-way dialogue.
