Helping young mothers
In January this year, WITH Tas donated $1800 to Small Steps.
This City Mission program provides a home in one of 12 units for young mums aged 15-25 and their children, who are at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness.
Mothers stay for up to two years as they are guided to a point where they can exit to safe and stable permanent accommodation after their stay.
We were delighted to assist with the purchase of urgently needed new washing machines, must-have items with young children!
Thanks to the support of generous prize donors and the many ticket buyers, our raffle raised $1,300 and WITH added a further $500 to ensure that two machines could be purchased - plus some extra for washing powder!
